"I was browsing over your site and was quite pleasantly
surprised to learn of the extent collaboration has already been ongoing
to save the Philippine coffee industry. i'm a graduate student of
Technology Management at UP-DIliman and we daily read through stories of
collaboration similar to yours and very rarely do we see success stories
of collaboration between government, university and industry. Attempts
have usually been plagued by politicking, personality conflicts, and
lack of financial commitment -- more so in the Philippine context -- and
it amazed me to see one so successful in our own backyard, and in an
area so significant in most Filipinos' lives, coffee. The world has much
to learn from what your project has accomplished. Congratulations!"

"I wrote to you a week ago about the Amadeo Adopt-a-Coffee-Farm Project. Thank you so much for the information you provided. As I mentioned in my first e-mail, my partner and I was to go to Amadeo over the weekend. I'm glad to share with you that we have covered a lot of grounds in two days. We made contact with the Mayor's Office, visited prospective farms for adoption, and have actually talked about a lease with the owner of one of those farms. We are now awaiting notice about the coffee seminars.
We are eagerly anticipating making business at Amadeo, and possibly with Figaro. Again, thank you for your help."

"As a new struggling small business owner (Café Barako importer) I am so glad that there is an organization like Figaro Foundation to help ensure that our "Kapeng Barako" will not go extinct and make our fellow Filipinos aware of the current situation. Definitely we need to encourage our fellow Filipinos here in the United States to patronize our own home/local grown coffee like the Barako. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!"
